Do you host more than one event per day?
We like to keep our weddings exclusive so you can be assured that you will have sole use of the facilities and grounds at The Carriage Rooms on your special day.
Do you have standard wedding packages?
At The Carriage Rooms we pride ourselves on being able to provide a unique and individual wedding experience for each and every couple. We don't provide set packages and believe that no two weddings should ever be the same, meaning that even if you or any of your guests have attended weddings here in the past, a fresh new experience is to be had each visit.
What social distancing measures do you have in place?
Our priority is to keep our guests and staff safe during this difficult period.
The points outlined below are taken from the risk assessment carried out for this event at Montalto Estate and therefore are a legal requirement under the Health & Safety At Work Act 1978
•Everyone should follow government guidance to help stop the spread of the virus
•We ask all guests and suppliers to be mindful and keep a safe distance from others around you
•Unfortunately dancing is not currently allowed apart from the first dance
•Drinks can be purchased via the app and will be provided via table service - guests are asked not to approach the bar
•The wearing of face coverings is preferable when possible
•Guests are advised to wash hands regularly, use the sanitising stations provided and avoid touching their face
•If guests are showing any symptoms of Covid-19, we ask that they return home immediately
•This is a difficult time for everyone and as such, abuse to staff cannot be tolerated
Do we have to use your preferred suppliers or can we use our own choice of florist, caterer etc.?
Do you have a designated room for the ceremony or can we have it outside?
We can accommodate either an indoor or outdoor ceremony - both with equally photogenic, breath-taking settings for making that all important commitment to one another.
Is there a room available for the bride to use during the reception to change clothes or just freshen up?
Yes. We have a discreet bridal room situated just off the main banquet hall with seating, full length mirror and private WC. We also offer overnight accommodation in the form of Montalto House, located on the estate grounds.
Is there outside space or gardens that can be used for drinks reception, photos etc.?
Absolutely – we have a beautiful spacious courtyard, picturesque stable yard, numerous terraces, a walled garden leading out from our charming orangery, manicured hedges, herbaceous borders, water features and more.
Do you offer on-site co-ordination?
Our Venue Manager and Hospitality Co-ordinator will be on hand to assist with setup, your personalised décor and many other aspects of your wedding both in the planning process and on the day itself. Throughout the wedding day they will be present to look after the building operation, oversee venue staff and generally ensure the smooth running of everything behind the scenes.
How many people can you accommodate?
In usual circumstances, this was up to 180 people, including the bridal party allowed. Currently, we are reviewing our capacity. Please contact us with your details and we will be happy to advise.
Is your venue licensed to carry out civil weddings?
Yes. The Carriage Rooms is fully licensed for religious or civil ceremonies, as well as civil partnerships. We can also suggest a celebrant for the ceremony should you require assistance in this area.
Does your venue provide a quieter area for guests during the evening party?
Yes. The Carriage Rooms is comprised of a number of inter-connecting areas which allow the flexibility for guests to enjoy the vast amount of space available.

Do you have facilities in place for those with accessibility requirements?
The venue meets the latest accessibility requirements including disabled parking, a lift and both male and female disabled toilets.
There are graveled areas around the venue but we have ensured that these areas are also wheelchair friendly with our use of Cedagravel.
